Open Positions

We are seeking a Professional Engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit. Due to numerous requests by our clients, we are looking to expand our Engineering Department to include Geotechnical Engineering services. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to help start, develop and head a Geotechnical Engineering division. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience including field data collection and analysis, laboratory materials testing, report preparation and review, training and developing staff, preparing bids, project management, proposal and budget preparation and contracts. The position would include assisting our marketing team with business development.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • North Carolina and South Carolina registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.), or ability to obtain within 6-months
  • 10+ years’ experience in geotechnical engineering. At least 2 years’ experience managing and growing a team is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop geotechnical services lines preferred
  • Must be a problem solver that can address roadblocks with poise and control
  • Must have strong oral/written communication skills and ability to work well in teams
  • Knowledge of geotechnical software (slope stability, settlement, foundations, finite element modeling, etc.) preferred
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • The position will require travel to and from project sites within the Mid-Atlantic area of the U.S.
  • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record required

Relocation to Charlotte, North Carolina area required.
The successful candidate should be flexible in assignments, willing to travel overnight periodically, and eager to learn.

Position":  Monday - Friday out-of-town travel is required.
